Just performed a late-night show at the University of South Florida. Had a blast at the show. It was a different one for me. Instead of being in an auditorium, tonight I was on a riser stage outdoors at 12:30am! Lots of students showed up for the show (and the free pizza). HILARIOUS comedian, Robbie Printz went on first. He’s really funny – check him out. Then I went on. The stage was on a lawn outside one of the newer dorms. This set up tonight’s funny moment.
I’m finishing up my show and as I’m segueing into the final bit, I heard something from above. I turn around and ten stories, up – someone’s yelling out their window.
“I’m trying to sleep!”
I mean, I guess it makes sense. My show is very loud. And Lil Wayne’s “Got Money” had just been playing loudly after the money trick. And it was 1:15am. But it was very funny. So I very LOUDLY talked into the microphone.
“YOU’RE TRYING TO SLEEP? OH I’M SORRY! MAYBE YOU SHOULD COME DOWN HERE TO THE SHOW.”
He was fidgeting with the window and for a minute I thought he was going to jump, but he ended up shutting the blinds.
AND MISSING AN AWESOME SHOW.
